CSUN Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, Part-Time Faculty Positions

In anticipation of openings for part-time faculty in the Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures (MCLL), department at California State University Northridge (CSUN), applications received each year from interested parties will be reviewed and possibly placed in a part-time hiring pool.  The window of time for submitting applications for the Academic Year 2021-2022 is now open, and will close on March 26, 2021. 

Interested applicants may also review the Faculty Position Announcement letters at PT Faculty Position Announcement Letters, for a complete list of qualifications and requirements. The following materials will need to be submitted for each subject applied for:

• Cover letter, which describes their contributions to diversity and designates specific courses or areas they are interested in teaching.
• Current resume which includes educational background, prior teaching experience, evidence of scholarship, and related professional experience.
• Copy of official college transcripts inclusive of proof of degree.
• Information for a minimum of three current references to include: name, title, affiliation, phone, and email.

Applicants may submit the above any time, but no later than March 26, 2021 to ensure that their materials will be considered for AY 21-22. 

After the deadline, applicant files are submitted to our review committee for their evaluation.  If an applicant is added to our part-time pool, this does not guarantee a position but does categorize the applicant as qualified, should the need for their experience, skills, and availability arise.  Applicants will be contacted sometime in May 2021 to be informed of their status in our part-time lecturer pool.
